Safety perimeters for road races and events

Throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Games, various events will be held on the road.
The security systems for the races will be activated the day before to allow the athletes to train.

Operation of perimeters around road races and events

The red perimeters around the race routes will be set up 3 hours before the start of each competition and will be progressively released 15 minutes after the last competitor has passed through. Motorised traffic is prohibited in these areas, except under exceptional circumstances, which are open only to local residents, to professionals who need to travel and in emergency situations.

For the para-cycling races in Seine-Saint-Denis and Seine-et-Marne, from 4 to 7 September, motorised traffic is only permitted with an exemption and a Pass Jeux.
